Types of Movement.
There are two major types of movement; cyclic and periodic.
Cyclic movement is a rotation that continues often and describes the daily activity space of a person or group. Leaving your house in the morning to go to school, working, and then picking up siblings and returning home is an example of cyclic movement. Cyclic movement also is represented by foreign employees working overseas before returning home. These movements typically last for years.
Periodic Movement is a form of movement that involves intermittent and recurrent movement. Relocating temporarily for college or to serve in the military is an example of periodic movement. If a foreign employee travels overseas annually or seasonally, then it can also be a form of periodic movement.
